Terms of Service

Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using EdPayU ("the Service"), operated by LJRV Technologies, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of a school or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

Description of Service

EdPayU is a cloud-based school management SaaS platform designed for Indian schools. The Service includes modules for attendance management, fee collection, exam and report card management, timetable scheduling, WhatsApp-based parent communication, student insights, staff management, and other school administration functions. The Service is accessible via web browsers at app.edpayu.com and through WhatsApp integrations.

Account Registration

• Schools must register an account to use the Service. Registration requires a valid school name, administrator contact information, and board affiliation.
• The school administrator is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials and for all activities that occur under the account.
• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration and keep it updated.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• Share account credentials with unauthorized individuals or allow multiple people to use a single account.
• Upload, transmit, or store any harmful, offensive, or illegal content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications to parents or guardians.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, logos, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by LJRV Technologies and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your internal school management purposes during the subscription period. This license does not include the right to modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service.

School Data Ownership

• Schools retain full ownership of all data entered into the Service, including student records, attendance data, fee records, exam scores, and staff information.
• We do not claim any ownership rights over school data.
• Schools can export their data in standard formats (CSV, PDF) at any time through the Service.
• Schools can request complete data deletion at any time, subject to the data retention terms in our Privacy Policy.
• We will not use school data for any purpose other than providing and improving the Service.

Payment Terms

• The Service is offered on a subscription basis with pricing tiers as listed on our pricing page.
• New schools may be eligible for a free trial period. Details are available during registration.
• Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually as selected during subscription setup.
• All payments are processed through Razorpay and are subject to Razorpay's terms of service.
• Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are exclusive of applicable taxes (GST).
• Failure to pay subscription fees may result in suspension or termination of the Service.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us for refund requests.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LJRV Technologies and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Termination

• Either party may terminate the subscription at any time with 30 days written notice.
• We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms.
• Upon termination, you will have 30 days to export your data from the Service.
• After the 30-day export period, we will delete all school data within 90 days as per our Privacy Policy.
• Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that accrued prior to termination.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered schools of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
